Painterly

My practice explores both painterly and graphic themes. These inform one another and I seek to explore their unity. This body of work is solely executed through monoprinting where I constantly paint at the etching press with coloured inks.  My aim is to heighten tension within interior spaces, excluding the figure, and focussing on depicting light in the form of shadows cast, suggesting the notion of liminality and human presence through absence.
